Russell County’s unemployment rate was among the lowest in the Lake Cumberland area during the month of July.
According to the Kentucky Center for Statistics, Russell County’s unemployment rate came in at 5 percent last month, down one-tenth of a percent from July 2024.
Only Cumberland County recorded a lower unemployment rate in the Lake Cumberland area at 4.8 percent.
Pulaski County’s unemployment rate was 5.9 percent, Adair County’s was 6.1 percent, Casey County’s was 6.4 percent, and Clinton County’s was 7 percent. Wayne County was tied for the highest in the area at 7.6 percent.
