Russell County Hospital CEO Scott Thompson provided an update on the hospital’s major expansion project.
Thompson said he hopes to see site and foundation work beginning on the nearly $30 million project within the next 60 days.
The planned expansion project will utilize $10 million in state funds and $10 million in tax credits.
The expansion will provide a new operating room, new emergency room, new equipment, a new front lobby registration space and new radiology department, among other improvements.
