Russell County Search & Rescue assists with flood operations in Garrard County

Members of the Russell County Search & Rescue team assisted with flood operations in Garrard County over the weekend.

Members were called to transport a city water technician to the water-covered telemetry pumps. The worker needed to switch the pumps to manual mode, which prevented a potential water outage for residents of Lancaster and Crab Orchard.

The Russell County team was able to transport the water technician to the pumps and back safely.
