The Russell County Middle School Baseball and Softball teams picked up big wins on the road last night.
The baseball team defeated Casey County by a score of 19-2.
Keaton Garner finished with 2 hits and a team-high 4 runs batted in. Aaron McGowan also finished with 2 hits and 3 runs batted in. Archer Hart also finished the night with a pair of hits.
Keenan Stille picked up the win pitching, giving up just 2 runs (1 earned) on 1 hit and striking out 3 batters in 3 innings.
The Lady Laker Softball team defeated Southern Middle School by a score of 16-9.
Kerigan Aaron finished with a team-high 3 hits and 5 runs batted in. Allie Bailey drove in a pair of runs for the Lady Lakers as well.
The Lady Lakers are back in action tonight, hosting Northern Middle School at 5:30.
The middle school Lakers return to action Monday, hosting Mercer County.
