An 18-year-old man died as the result of a two-vehicle wreck in Wayne County yesterday.
Kentucky State Police say the wreck occurred just before 8 a.m. local time at the intersection of West Highway 90 and Highway 1546.
Police say 19-year-old Seth Bolen of Monticello was traveling south on Highway 1546 in a Cadillac when he pulled out onto Highway 90 into the path of a 2023 Freightliner operated by 34-year-old Demario D. Adams of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
18-year-old Elijah W. Bolen was ejected from the Cadillac and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner’s Office. Seth Bolen was also ejected and flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital.
Adams was also flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital, but was later released.
Kentucky State Police is investigating the collision.
