School board to meet this evening

The Russell County Board of Education will meet this evening.

The board will consider re-employment of Superintendent Michael Ford. Ford’s contract runs through June 30.

Ford has served as superintendent for the school district since 2013.

The board will also hear a presentation regarding a safety app at tonight’s meeting.

The board will meet at 5 p.m. in Room 114 of the Russell County ANC.

The meeting is open to the public. We’ll have more details on tomorrow’s local news.
