The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run case where a 16-year-old was reportedly hit by a truck while running.
The sheriff’s office said the 16-year-old female was running on the side of the road when she was struck by a Chevrolet Avalanche in the back with the right passenger mirror on the vehicle.
The driver of the truck did not stop to check on the teen. An individual driving behind the truck stopped to check on her and took her home. The girl was taken by family to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where she was treated and released.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office said they have identified the driver of the vehicle. Criminal charges are coming, pending further investigation.
