Ashbrook makes first court appearance in complicity to murder case

A woman charged with complicity to murder in the shooting death of Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Phipps made her first court appearance yesterday.

Linda Michelle Ashbrook entered a plea of not guilty at yesterday’s arraignment hearing in Russell Circuit Court.

Ashbrook is charged with complicity to murder, hindering apprehension and wanton endangerment first degree.

Ashbrook’s bond remains the same at $100,000 cash.

She is set to appear in Russell Circuit Court again for a pretrial hearing on Tuesday, April 15.
