Wayne County gas station owner arrested on drug trafficking charge

A Wayne County gas station owner has been arrested on a charge of trafficking in marijuana.

An investigation by multiple agencies in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of Ravindran Patel of Somerset on a charge of trafficking in marijuana.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation led by Kentucky Alcoholic Beverage Control resulted in the discovery of a large amount of pre-rolled products for sale at a gas station owned by Patel on Highway 90.

Patel was arrested on Wednesday and lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center. He was released shortly after by signing a personal bond.
