Russell County Schools had one of the highest attendance rates last school year among school districts in the Lake Cumberland area.
Russell County’s attendance rate last year was 92.7 percent, which was tied with Pulaski County for the second-highest among school districts in the area.
Only Casey County Schools came in higher with an attendance rate of 93.2 percent.
Cumberland County and Adair County were just behind at 92.3 and 92.2 percent.
Somerset Independent and Wayne County came in noticeably earlier at 91.7 and 91.6 percent.
Clinton County Schools had the lowest attendance rates in the area at 90.9 percent.
The average attendance rate statewide was 92.3 percent.
