Polston encouraging caution on the roadways, deputies available to assist those in need

The snow has caused hazardous driving conditions across the county today. Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston provided an update on road conditions throughout the county and said the sheriff’s office has already been busy.

Polston also told WJRS News deputies and other first responders will be out and available to assist those in need.

Anyone who needs assistance with getting to a warming center or other needs can call 911 or Russell County Dispatch at 270-343-6600.
