New deputy joins sheriff’s office

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office has a new deputy.

Deputy Chris Tweedy has joined the sheriff’s office.

Tweedy has experience working in other surrounding counties. He’s worked for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Adair County Sheriff’s Office, and the Columbia Police Department.
