The National Parks Service is investigating a reported theft and vandalism that took place at the Mill Springs Battlefield National Monument in Nancy.
The National Parks Service said staff at the park recently discovered wood siding had been removed from a historic barn located adjacent to Highway 235.
The vandalism and theft is a federal crime, and the parks service said they’re working with local law enforcement on the investigation.
The park has also implemented 24-hour surveillance of all National Park Service-owned lands and structures within the monument in response to this incident.
