More details released about arrest of Liberty man Wednesday night

More details are being released about the arrest of a Liberty man Wednesday night.

WJRS News is told 42-year-old Gregory Hines was pulling a trailer with a flat tire on the side of Owenstown School Road Wednesday evening at around 6:15 when he quickly turned into traffic, striking another vehicle.

A woman went to the hospital following the collision for precautionary measures, but no other injuries were reported in the collision.

Hines was arrested by Deputy Nick Barber with the Russell County Sheriff’s Office following the collision and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, no license, failure to produce an insurance card, and criminal mischief – second degree.

He was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
