Local gas prices remain on-par or lower than most neighboring counties.
According to AAA, the average price of gas in Russell County is $2.76/gallon, almost even with the state average.
That’s the same as Casey County and slightly lower than Cumberland, Pulaski, and Wayne counties, which all come in with prices 3 or 4 cents higher.
Clinton County has the highest prices of surrounding counties at $2.88/gallon. Adair County has the lowest at $2.59.
