Lakers, Lady Lakers victorious last night

The Laker and Lady Laker Basketball teams were victorious in a home doubleheader last night.

The Lady Lakers picked up a victory in the first game, defeating Casey County by a score of 76-59.

The Lady Lakers had big performances from Aniyah Coffey and Rachel Bolin in the win. Coffey finished with a team-high 23 points and 10 rebounds. Bolin scored 22 and pulled down 7 rebounds for the Lady Lakers. Karley Luttrell added 10 points in the victory.

In the nightcap, the Lakers picked up a big district win over Monroe County by a score of 65-54.

Mayes Gosser scored a team-high 25 points to lead the Lakers. Kaden Coffey added 11 points and Owen Loy scored 10.

The Lakers are scheduled to return to action at home on Monday when they host Wayne County. The Lady Lakers are scheduled to host McCreary Central next Tuesday.
