Lakers defeat East Jessamine, Lady Lakers fall to Taylor County

The Laker Basketball team went on the road and defeated East Jessamine last night by a score of 78-65.

Four Lakers scored in double figures, led by Mayes Gosser with 20 points. Owen Loy and Maddox Shearer each scored 16 and Bryson Irvin added 14. Shearer and Irvin each hit 4 three-pointers for the Lakers in the win.

The Lakers are scheduled to be in action on Tuesday when they go on the road to Campbellsville.

The Lady Lakers were at home last night, hosting Taylor County, where they fell 53-40.

Aniyah Coffey led the scoring for Russell County with 15 points. Addy Abrell added 8 points and led the team with 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals.

The Lady Lakers are scheduled to be back in action on Monday, going on the road to Wayne County.
