Kazsuk, Higginbotham reelected to school board chair, vice-chair roles

In its first regular meeting of 2025, the Russell County Board of Education held elections for the position of board chair and vice-chair.

Dick Kazsuk was reelected as the board’s chairperson, while Brenda Higginbotham was reelected as vice-chair.

WJRS News spoke to Kazsuk following the meeting about being reelected and what he’s looking forward to as the board chair.

Both Kazsuk and Higginbotham were approved by a unanimous vote by the board.
