Hospital purchasing new beds

The Russell County Hospital Board of Directors approved the purchase of new beds for the hospital at yesterday’s meeting.

The beds currently in the hospital are 12 or more years old, and hospital CEO Scott Thompson said the hospital has been looking into replacing the beds for a while.

Thompson said the new beds also come with enhanced security features that will be beneficial to hospital staff.
