The Russell County Fiscal Court will meet this morning for its first regular meeting of the new year.
The court is expected to hold the first reading of a dog ordinance at today’s meeting. At last month’s meeting, the fiscal court discussed multiple topics regarding animal control in the county, including fees for owner surrenders, picking up animals within the city limits, and law enforcement calls for animal complaints.
The fiscal court will meet at 10 a.m. at the courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
