The Russell County Fiscal Court held the first reading of an ordinance at this morning’s meeting that would implement a $20 fee per animal on animals surrendered to the county as well as those picked up by law enforcement or the dog warden.
The court is expected to hold a second reading and vote on the ordinance at its next meeting.
