Russell County Attorney Kevin Shearer presented an amendment to the Russell County Fiscal Court recently to a 1992 county ordinance regarding solid waste that would allow the county attorney’s office to speed up the process of addressing nuisances brought to the office.
This was the first reading of the amended ordinance.
The amended ordinance, which also includes language to require covers for vehicles hauling garbage as reported earlier by WJRS News, will likely have a second reading and be voted on by the fiscal court at next month’s meeting.
