We’re still two years away from the next election for Kentucky’s Governor, but Representative James Comer is already taking a look at running for the state’s highest office.
Comer represents 35 counties in the U.S. House of Representatives, including Russell, Adair, Casey, Clinton, and Cumberland counties. He was on Community Conversations on WJRS yesterday, where he spoke about his interest in running for governor.
Comer ran for the Republican nomination for governor in 2015, losing to eventual governor Matt Bevin by 83 votes. Comer fared very well in Russell County in that primary, receiving a little over 60 percent of the votes cast.
