62.3 percent of Russell County voters came out to the polls for this year’s general election.
Looking at turnout in neighboring counties, that number falls somewhere in the middle.
Wayne County had a turnout of roughly 59.7 percent and Pulaski County had a turnout of roughly 61.3 percent.
Clinton County traditionally has one of the highest voter turnouts statewide and had a strong turnout once again at just over 66.3 percent. Cumberland County had a turnout of 64.7 percent. Adair County had a turnout of just over 63.8 percent and Casey County was just above Russell at 63.1 percent.
The Lake Cumberland area exceeded statewide numbers. Statewide, voter turnout was around 58.8 percent.
