Russell County 4-H Shooting Sports competes at Adair County competition

The Russell County 4-H Shooting Sports team competed at the Adair County competition recently.

In the 15-18 year old category, Russell County had several individuals receive honors.

Abigail Emerson – 1st place – bare bow archery

Sarah Grider – 1st place – target recurve archery and 2nd place in recurve archery

Zach Walters – 1st place – black powder percussion rifle, 2nd place – target archery, and 3rd place – bow hunter archery

Eli Foley – 2nd place – black powder percussion rifle , 2nd place – black powder flintlock rifle, 3rd place – black powder pistol

Avery Hart – 3rd place – .22 sport rifle

She also explains the convenience of the screening process and thanks the Russell County School System and hospital staff for helping make the event a success.

He also shares updates on The Green project, featuring a new sensory play space, walking trail, and community pavilion, while highlighting upcoming back-to-school initiatives, tutoring opportunities, and expanded programming designed to serve families and students throughout the year.
