An Edmonton man was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital for injuries he sustained in a wreck with a tractor and bush hog mowing along the Cumberland Parkway yesterday morning.
According to the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at around 7 yesterday morning near the 61 mile marker on the Cumberland Parkway. Reports are 23-year-old Tyler Bush of Edmonton was operating a 2012 Jeep Laredo traveling east when he collided with a tractor and bush hog mowing the eastbound shoulder of the parkway.
The collision resulted in Bush’s vehicle leaving the roadway and hitting an embankment, rolling over multiple times.
Bush was transported to the Russell County Hospital helicopter pad, then flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Bunch is leading the investigation. He was assisted on scene by Deputy Sinclair, Russell County EMS, and the Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone of the importance of paying attention to various road crews out working along the highways and parkway.
