The Russell County Community Blood Drive takes place today.
The blood drive will take place today from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the South Kentucky RECC Community Room.
Each donor will receive a $15 Walmart gift card and a Kentucky Blood Center shirt while supplies last.
One lucky donor will also be selected to win a $100 gift card courtesy of Jax’s Cool Convenience in Russell Springs.
The Kentucky Blood Center says the number of donations are usually lower in the summer months, which create supply issues. The blood center said donations during this time are critical to ensure the blood center maintain the supply it needs to be able to provide to hospitals in the commonwealth.
