Russell County Middle School has a new principal and it’s a familiar face to many at the school.
Susan Stringer was selected as Russell County Middle School’s new principal during a meeting of the school’s decision-making council yesterday evening.
Stringer has served as an assistant principal at the school since 2019. She’s also served as a math teacher and department chair at Casey County High School and Russell County High School.
Superintendent Michael Ford, in a letter sent out last night, said he is confident Stringer’s leadership skills, knowledge and experience will make for a smooth transition at the middle school.
Stringer will take over the position beginning with the 2024-2025 school year.
