RCDC Litter Patrol reportedly discovers meth lab, turned over to KSP

The Russell County Detention Center Litter Patrol reportedly discovered a meth lab while out picking up litter earlier this week.

According to Russell County Jailer Bobby Dunbar, the litter patrol group discovered the meth lab while picking up litter in the area of Lawless Cemetery Road on Monday.

Once the inmates discovered the meth lab, they reported it to the supervisor working with the group, and Kentucky State Police Post 15 was contacted.

Troopers with Post 15 came down and took possession of the instrument. Dunbar said they’re not sure how long it was laying beside the road.

Dunbar said he was appreciative of the inmates on the litter patrol who quickly reported it to the supervisor.
