One injured in Wednesday morning wreck

One person was injured following a wreck early this  morning on South Highway 127.

According to Russell Springs Police, the collision occurred just after 5 this morning when a 2012 Toyota Rav4 operated by 78-year-old Jesse Jewell Sr. of Jamestown turned right from the Valero gas station on South 127, pulling in front of a 2021 Ford Escape operated by 55-year-old Teresa Meyer of Dunnville.

Meyer’s vehicle struck Jewell’s, causing Meyer’s vehicle to leave the roadway into the lot of Unlimited Marine, striking a boat leaving Meyer entrapped in the vehicle.

Meyer was taken by EMS to Russell County Hospital for chest pains and a left arm injury.

Jewell suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene.

Russell Springs Police was assisted on scene by members of the Jamestown Police Department.
