Local gas prices are seemingly on the rise.
Several gas stations locally have been selling at around $3.49 the last couple days, a notable jump from earlier in the week when prices were around $3.19.
Prices are higher than around this time last year, when the average price of gas in Russell County was about $3.30.
According to AAA, the average price statewide is $3.36 and nationwide, the average price is $3.56.
