Lawsuit filed in death of Somerset-Pulaski EMT

A lawsuit has been filed in the death of an EMT with Somerset-Pulaski County EMS.

According to court documents, the lawsuit was filed by the family of Chastian Tyler McWhorter, a Clinton County native who died following an auto collision in Garrard County where the ambulance McWhorter was operating collided with a box truck operated by Corey Dunn of Lexington, who was operating the truck for a company identified as Clem’s Refrigerated Foods.

Defendants in the lawsuit include the owner of the business, William Clem, the business, Dunn, and the Kentucky League of Cities Insurance Services Association.

The plaintiffs allege negligence in the accident.

The crash, which occurred at the beginning of April, also resulted in the death of Robert Caudill, who was a patient in the ambulance.
