The Laker Baseball team defeated Adair County at home last night, coming out on top by a score of 6-2.
Jack Shearer led the Laker offense with a team-high 3 hits and 2 RBI.
Alden Brumley and Mason Jasper each drove in a pair of runs for the Lakers as well.
Trace Stringer picked up the win on the mound, pitching 6 innings and giving up 2 runs on 8 hits while striking out 4.
Austin Bartrug entered in the seventh inning, picking up a strikeout and forcing a double play to end the game and secure the win.
The Lakers will go on the road this evening for a district matchup with the Cumberland County Panthers. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
