The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team dropped a district game on the road last night, falling to Clinton County by a score of 9-5.
Brylie Jo Hardwick and Rylen McGowan each hit home runs for the Lady Lakers. It was the 7th of the season for Hardwick and the 5th for McGowan.
Addie Davis also drove in a run for Russell County.
Addison Hart pitched 3 1/3 innings for Russell County, giving up 7 runs (6 earned) on 9 hits and striking out 2.
Hardwick entered in relief, pitching 2 2/3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 2.
