The Russell County Health Department and the City of Russell Springs are partnering together to offer a free Narcan training to the community later this month.
The training is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the Russell Springs Fire Department.
Narcan is a nasal spray that can be administered to someone suffering from a drug overdose that can help reverse the effects of the overdose. It’s credited with saving thousands of lives over the last few years.
The training is open to the community, and will include demonstrations on how to administer Narcan, as well as learning how to identify an overdose. Free Narcan will also be provided to those who attend the training.
