Fiscal court approves resolution to pursue funds for regional sports complex

The Russell County Fiscal Court approved a resolution at Monday morning’s meeting to pursue federal funds for a proposed regional sports complex.

WJRS News spoke with Judge Executive Randy Marcum about pursuing funds for the proposed project.

The proposed complex includes soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, walking trails, a gymnasium, and tennis and pickleball courts.
