A Casey County man was indicted on a murder charge stemming from a wreck that occurred last year in which a Eubank woman died.
According to reports, 48-year-old John Osborn was indicted on the murder charge. He faces other charges including reckless driving, fleeing police, and driving under the influence.
The wreck occurred last May. According to reports at the time, Osborn was operating a vehicle and was fleeing from police after law enforcement was called to a home in Lincoln County about a disturbance.
Osborn reportedly led police on a chase beginning in the Eubank area, and the pursuit went through Pulaski County and ended on Fishing Creek Road in Casey County when Osborn’s vehicle crashed into a tree, resulting in the death of a passenger in the vehicle, identified as 63-year-old Sheila Sergent.
Osborn remains lodged in the Casey County Jail.
