A Russell County man was arrested in Adair County early Sunday morning on charges that include assault and alcohol intoxication.
According to the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Brandon Pennington of Russell County was arrested and faces charges of assaulting a police officer, harassing communications, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Pennington was arrested after deputies were called to the 9000 block of Highway 80 between Columbia and Russell Springs at about 4 a.m. Sunday to investigate a complaint called in to dispatch.
Once there, Pennington was taken into custody. He was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail.
