Russell County FFA has strong showing at regional competition

The Russell County FFA Chapter competed in the Lake Cumberland Regional FFA contests at Campbellsville University last week.

Members competed against the chapter winners from the 13 schools in the region.

Students finishing in the top 2 in each category will go on to compete in the state contest held in June at the Kentucky FFA State Convention.

 

The following students received a superior rating, finished first in their category and will move on to state.

Jasmin Grant in Fruit & Vegetable Agriculture Speech

Alexis Fox in Goat & Sheep Reproduction and Genetics Agriculture Speech

Kole Rixon in Turf & Lawn Agriculture Speech.

 

These students received a superior rating, finished second in their category and will move on to state.

Brent LaRue in Ag Mechanics Agriculture Speech

Kendall Melton in Greenhouse Agriculture Speech

Baylee Flatt in Poultry Agriculture Speech

Chloe Robertson in Prepared Public Speaking Agriculture Speech

 

These students received a superior rating and finished third in their category.

Callie Reynolds in Horse Nutrition Agriculture Speech

Gracie Burke in the AIC Test

 

Several other students received a superior rating in their competitions.

Abby Fox in Small Animal Agriculture Speech

Myah Conner in Swine Agriculture Speech
