Local Emergency Services, Red Cross partnering to offer free smoke alarms to RC residents

Local emergency services and the American Red Cross are partnering to offer free smoke alarm to Russell County residents.

Sign-ups for the smoke alarms will be taking place during the upcoming Storm Spotters Class as well as the Community Easter Egg Hunt this month.

Sign-ups are also occurring on Tuesday evenings at the local fire departments from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Local residents can sign up online by clicking here.

This program is available to Russell County residents only, and the smoke alarms must be installed by one of the local fire departments.

Installation of the fire alarms is scheduled for April 20.
