Kentucky State Police Post 15 has released more details about a child sex abuse investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Russell Springs man this week.
State Police say an investigation began when a KSP detective received a report of sexual abuse of a child.
It was discovered that David Ray Holderfield, age 54 of Russell Springs, had engaged in inappropriate physical contact with a juvenile in Russell County, and as a result of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Holderfield.
Holderfield was arrested on Wednesday and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
Detective Zach Scott with State Police Post 15 is continuing the investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
