It appears Clinton County Schools could soon get a new superintendent.
The school district has been under the leadership of interim superintendent Boyd Randolph since the beginning of July.
According to the Clinton County News, a screening committee to select a new superintendent considered eight applicants, then sent three names to the board of education in mid-December of potential hires.
However, the school board was reportedly unable to meet prior to the end of the year due to the holiday.
None of the names submitted for consideration were released to the public.
The date for a joint meeting of the school board and screening committee has not yet been announced but could come as early as next week.
