Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred yesterday morning at around 11 on North Highway 127.
According to Russell Springs Police, a 2019 GMC Tahoe operated by 57-year-old Kelly Sonnabend of Dunnville was stopped behind a vehicle turning left onto Stephens Lane. While stopped in the road waiting for the vehicle in front to turn, Sonnabend’s vehicle was struck from behind by a 2005 Chevy Silverado operated by 52-year-old Lloyd Newton of Dunnville.
Newton was taken to Russell County Hospital for treatment of a head injury. A passenger in the Sonnabend vehicle, 48-year-old Shoshannah Sonnabend, was also taken to the hospital for multiple injuries.
Russell Springs Police worked the accident. They were assisted on scene by Russell County EMS.
