J. D. Bell, 85, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, November 14th, at his home.J. D. was born in Jamestown, KY on December 24, 1937, a son of the late Lucille Jane (Brown) and Joe
He was a retired custodian for the Russell County School System.J. D. is survived by,

Seven children Melinda (Tim) Sullivan, Marlene (Nick) Catron, Kem (Minga) Bell, Angie (Brian) Bell, Joey (Wanda) Bell, Melissa (Steve) Luttrell, Chris (Whitney) Bell
Eight siblings, Janice, Christine, Rita, Eddie, Phillip, Andy, Roger and Kenneth.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as other family and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, son Daryl, a great grandchild and 5 siblings.Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 18th at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Leon Simpson and Bro. Nick Catron officiating.Friends may visit 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 17th at H.
