Emergency crews work wreck with tractor-trailer at Webbs Crossroads

Emergency crews were called out early yesterday morning regarding a wreck involving a tractor-trailer at Webbs Crossroads.

The single-vehicle accident occurred just before 5 yesterday morning at Webbs Crossroads on Highway 76 when a 2002 Kenmore tractor-trailer carrying soybeans overturned in the road. According to reports, something with the vehicle malfunctioned and caused it to not slow down going into a curve at which point the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.

75-year-old Carl Mings of the Sano community, the operator of the vehicle, was taken to Russell County Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Springs Fire Department, and Russell County EMS were on scene for nearly three hours as traffic was diverted and crews worked to clear the scene.
