A partnership between Feeding America Kentucky Heartland and the Russell County School District has paid great dividends for students and families in Russell County.
The partnership involves a food pantry that is available for students and families in the school district, and is one of six partnerships across the Feeding America Kentucky Heartland service area.
The pantry provides both perishable and non-perishable food items at no cost.
Superintendent Michael Ford gave WJRS News more details about the school food pantry, how many students it has served, and gave thanks to those involved.
