An Adair County man was arrested on drug charges after officers were called to the Adair Headstart Center for a man acting suspiciously in the parking lot.
According to reports, police were called to Adair County Headstart Thursday morning after calls came in about a man walking through the parking lot while carrying a stick or cane and behaving oddly.
Police arrested 44-year-old Richard Bernard in a neighboring parking lot and charged him with public intoxication, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Columbia Police made the arrest and were assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office.
