A Casey County man was arrested early Sunday morning after he reportedly kept calling 911 and harassing local dispatchers and police officers.
According to reports, 40-year-old Michael A. VanLeuven of Liberty was charged with harassing communications and public intoxication after making multiple calls to dispatch about his stolen vehicle.
Reports are that VanLeuven loaned a vehicle to his neighbor, but then decided to report the vehicle as stolen. After dispatchers contacted the neighbor and confirmed he would return the vehicle, VanLeuven reportedly continued to call dispatch multiple times and cussed at the dispatchers and officers.
Two Casey County deputies and a state trooper visited his residence, and VanLeuven reportedly came toward the officers with a nearly empty whiskey bottle and continued to cuss at them.
He was lodged in the Casey County Jail.
