An investigation is underway after a badly decomposed body was found floating alongside a boat slip at Grider Hill Marina Saturday morning.
According to officials in neighboring Clinton County, law enforcement was called to the scene at around 8:40 Saturday morning after a call came in that a badly decomposed body was found near one of the boat slips.
Not many details are known, but according to officials, the deceased person is believed to be a male, but further testing at the state medical examiner’s office is needed to make a positive identification.
A man went missing while working on a houseboat near the marina nearly two years ago, but officials are unable to confirm if the body belonged to that missing man.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Clinton County Coroner’s Office, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife are involved in the investigation.
