The state announced yesterday the first round of awards for developers to design, build, operate and maintain a statewide network of EV charging stations.
Two of those will be in neighboring counties.
One will be at Franklin-Nissan in Columbia, and another will be at the Tradewind Center in Somerset.
It was recently announced that LG&E and Kentucky Utilities would be building an electric vehicle charging station to be located at the Russell County Tourism Office.
It is expected to be installed within the next few months.
